* Adam: why 8 custodians? (some are extensions of the same upper ontology, I see only 3 main UO's)
** we need to focus to make sure we aren't just getting a few smart people together to just talk
** suggest we focus the discussion to the 3 UO's (Cyc, SUMO & DOLCE) on how they can be merged, or if that is not feasible, how we could address the issues ... (Adam: please clean this up ... and express your thoughts at the relevant lists or pages named under 4 above.)
* Pat: note that this is the 50th anniversary of AI ... they were addressing much broader issues then
* Steve: ref the [http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?UpperOntologySummit/JointCommuniqueDraft#nidKO1 5 points] of the [[UpperOntologySummit/UosConvenerMeeting_2006_03_08/JointCommuniqueDraft,]] what can we agree to in terms of intent (first 3 points) and document approaches that may be feasible
* Pat: we may need to be unanimous ... maybe a majority outcome and a minority report is prper too ... we just want to inform the public and be honest with it

* Michael: point 5 is for us to explore ... we need to investigate, in addition to just expressing opinions
